Fatal Truck Crash Shuts Down I-75

Tampa commuters were stuck in traffic for several hours while emergency workers and first responders cleared the debris from an early morning accident on the I-75. The accident involved several vehicles and unfortunately resulted in at least one fatality as a driver who was standing outside his truck, which was stopped on the side of the road.

The accident was the result of several factors and involved several impacts and vehicles. It was a perfect storm that led to the loss of a life and serious injuries, and the injured survivors were sent to a hospital while emergency personnel worked to clear the wreckage.

The first crash was caused when an SUV lost control and hit a flatbed truck. The truck and SUV continued down the I-75, hitting a sedan and another SUV. This pileup continued moving before the two SUVs spun into the median and came to a stop. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the sedan and truck slid along the shoulder before hitting two vehicles that were stopped on the side of the road. These vehicles had been transporting mobile homes.

This accident is another in a long list of examples of how serious and severe a car crash can be. They aren’t always fender-benders or simple two car accidents. Sometimes, car crashes involve several vehicles and can end in tragedy – whether it’s death, severe injury, or both.

How Can a Lawyer Help?

Any car accident is overwhelming. A car crash can cause serious trauma and injuries, and even death. And when you’re involved in a serious accident with several vehicles, it can be difficult to tell who should be held responsible. For example, was the SUV driver accountable for the accident and injuries, or the truck? When several cars are involved, it can be a challenge to determine who’s at fault – but an auto accident lawyer Tampa, FL can help.

When it comes to dealing with aftermath of a car accident, it can be even more challenging when you’ve been involved in an accident with a truck. Most people understand the basic steps they should take when they’ve been in a car crash, but truck accidents can be overwhelming and frightening. It’s not uncommon for truck accident survivors to be shaken and even panicked.

Fortunately, a truck accident can be handled in a similar manner to a “normal” car accident. You’ll need to gather insurance information and contact information from everyone involved, and you’ll have to document the accident as much as you can. But when it comes to dealing with insurance, it can be complicated. Some trucks are driven by independent contractors, and others are part of a large corporate fleet. Depending on the type of truck operator, you’ll have to deal with either corporate insurance or the trucker’s insurance.

At Jeff Murphy Law, we know how important it is to get back on your feet as soon as possible – and we also know that sometimes that’s not as easy as it should be. While you can expect insurance to cover the costs of your repairs and recovery, it’s not a guarantee that you’ll be paid enough, or on time. Additionally, you may want to seek financial damages from the responsible parties.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to Jeff Murphy Law, and see how we can help you get the compensation you deserve.
